Knots
Logic was my lifeline
when my emotions threatened to drown me.
But instead of using it to pull myself ashore,
I grabbed the rope and worried away at it.
I tied knots, small at first,
then more complex, tightening in tangles.
Soon there I was, drowning in logic,
bound by the knots I had tied.

Oh what an incredibly descriptive metaphor, Rithu. When I think of rumination, your poem fits perfectly
This image really stayed with me: what is meant to save us can become what holds us back when we keep pulling it too tight.
